KSE-100 index down by 176.85 points at Day End

KSE - 100 Index at the day end moved a total of -176.85 points down by -0.42 percent, closing in at 41,734.05 with index high – low range of 526.62.

Volume traded at KSE –100 index decreased by 52.37 percent during the session after total volume clocked in at 43.083 million versus 90.465 million the day before.

Cement, Oil and Gas exploration companies, Automobile Assembler, and Power Generation and Distribution Companies were the worst performers today after collectively taking away 116 points from the index.

Sector-wise top performers included commercial banks, fertilizer and cable and electrical goods that collectively contributed 46 points to the index.

KSE All Share Index closed in at 30,426.73 down by 0.51% in today’s session. The index moved in the range of 355.25 points.

KSE All Share index’s sector turnover was led by the Cement sector (12.209 million), followed by Cable and Electrical goods (9.523 million), and Technology and Communication (7.074 million).

KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 84.402 million shares, the value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 3.509 billion.

In KSE-100 index, 26 companies closed up, whereas 62 were down at the day end.
