KSE – 100 today reported gains as it closed up by 87 points at 43495.07 points after closing the day in red yesterday. The index, however, remained under extreme pressure as the activity remained miserable with turnover at three month low. The trading remained well within the narrow range of 140 points.
Oil & Gas Exploration Companies, Commercial Banks, Transport and Tobacco closed the session at the top after collectively contributing more than 100 points.
Volume traded increased by 16.48 percent during the session after total volume clocked in at 39.419 million versus 47.202 million yesterday.
Sector-wise all share index top ten sector turnover was led by Chemicals (60.860 million), Food & Personal Care Products (24.221 million), and Technology & Communication (14.777 million) with Engineering (8.342 million) and Refinery (6.307 million) stocks trailing at the bottom.
KSE – 100 Index at the day end moved a total of +87.35 points up 0.20 percent, closing in at 43495.07 points with index high – low range of 43509.56 – 43366.67.
KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 220.348 million shares, value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 5.729 billion.
