July 27, 2026 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) extended its strong rally on Monday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index surging over 7,200 points as easing geopolitical tensions and a sharp decline in global oil prices continued to boost investor sentiment.
The market remained buoyant after Iran reportedly signaled that it would suspend military operations if the United States maintains its pause in strikes, reducing fears of further escalation and potential disruptions to global energy supplies following nearly two weeks of heightened conflict.
Brent crude futures also declined sharply, easing concerns over Pakistan's oil import bill and external account pressures and supporting risk appetite in the equity market.
