Kohinoor Energy reports 58% decline in profit for nine months

April 23, 2025 (MLN): Kohinoor Energy Limited (PSX: KOHE) reported a profit of Rs505 million for the nine months ending March 31, 2025, a 58% decrease compared to Rs1.20 billion recorded in the same period last year.

Net sales for the period dropped sharply by 62% to Rs 2.95bn, down from Rs 7.74bn in the corresponding period of 2024.

The reduction in sales was mirrored by a 69% decrease in the cost of sales, which amounted to Rs1.86bn, leading to a gross profit of Rs1.09bn, a 35% decline from the Rs1.69bn recorded last year.

Administrative and general expenses climbed to Rs311m, representing a 15% increase, while finance costs surged to Rs305m, a 34% rise compared to last year.

Meanwhile, the company experienced a 543% spike in taxation, which increased to Rs9m.
