Joao Manuel takes the reigns of Philips Morris (Pakistan) Ltd as new CEO

September 11, 2018 (MLN): Mr. Joao Manuel has been appointed as the Chief Executive of Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited with effect from September 1, 2018 according to a notification on the Pakistan Stock Exchange filed by the company on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.

He will be replacing Mr. Alexander Reisch as the new CEO who ceased to be the Chief Executive of the company with effect from August 31, 2018

According to Philip Morris Pakistani ltd., Mr. Joao has an impressive 20-year career at PMI. He started as an Operations Trainee in Switzerland and in 1998 started his international career as Manufacturing Development Manager in Portugal. Since then, his career in Operations has spanned many markets across European Union (EU), Eastern Europe & Middle East (EEMA) and Latin America & Canada (LA&C) in Manufacturing, Engineering and Planning. In 2004, Joao was first appointed Director Operations in Romania, a position he subsequently held in Serbia and Argentina, and in 2011 was appointed VP Operations EEMA Region.
