JDWS to establish ethanol project with daily capacity of 200,000-230,000 liters

January 03, 2024 (MLN): The Board of Directors (BoD) of JDW Sugar Mills Limited (PSX: JDWS) has resolved to set up an Ethanol/ Distillery Project with a daily production capacity of 200,000-230,000 liters, company’s filing on the local bourse revealed today.

This Ethanol/ Distillery Project will be a state-of-the-art Project and will produce export quality Ethanol from the in-house available sugar molasses of the company.

Moreover, the project is expected to achieve COD by January 2025, subject to fulfillment of all corporate and regulatory requirements.

To note, JDWS is engaged in the production and sale of crystalline sugar, and electricity and managing corporate farms.
