Ishaq Dar to co-chair first plenary session of Geneva conference

January 09, 2023 (MLN): Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will co-chair the First Plenary Session of Geneva Conference with the UNDP Administrator Achim Steiner on January 09, 2023, Ministry of Finance informed on Monday through its official twitter handle.

FM will discuss about the “Pakistan’s Resilient Recovery Strategy” during the International Conference on 'Climate Resilient Pakistan'.

A delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation will meet with FM on the sidelines of the International Conference on Climate Resilient Pakistan conference to discuss outstanding issues and the path forward.

The conference is jointly organized by UNO and Pakistan in collaboration with friendly countries at Geneva on January 09, 2023, and it will b held in Palais des Nations, Geneva to bring together government representatives, and leaders from the public and private sectors to stand with the people after the devastating floods of 2022. 

The conference aims at securing international humanitarian assistance for Pakistan for the post-flood reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts.
