IRSA releases 292,800 cusecs water

The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Friday released 292,800 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 230,700 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1410.28 feet, which was 30.28 feet higher than its dead level of 1,380 feet.

Water inflow in the dam was recorded 99,300 cusecs while outflow 142,500 cusecs.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1116.60 feet, which was 76.60 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet as the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 26,100 cusecs and 45,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 162,500, 169,400 and 43,600 cusecs respectively.

Similarly from the Kabul River, 44,300 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 32,900 cusecs from the Chenab River at Marala.The total storage stood at 1.134 MAF.
