IRSA releases 202,800 cusecs water

May 15, 2019: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Wednesday released 202,800 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 176,900 cusecs. 

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1406.68 feet, which was 20.68 feet higher than its dead level of 1,386 feet. 

Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 48,600 cusecs while outflow as 50,000 cusecs. 

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1158.25 feet, which was 118.25 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 45,500 cusecs and 70,000 cusecs respectively. 

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 95,300, 73,200 and 22,000 cusecs respectively. 

Similarly, from the Kabul River, 52,500 cusecs of water were released at Nowshera and 7,000 cusecs from the Chenab River at Marala.
