PM Youth Programme, UN Women join hands to empower young women

September 14, 2026 (MLN): The Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and UN Women Pakistan have agreed to strengthen cooperation aimed at expanding leadership, entrepreneurship and professional opportunities for young women.

The two organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding during a meeting between Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan and UN Women Pakistan Country Representative Jamshed Kazi in Islamabad.

Under the agreement, the organizations will collaborate through technical assistance, knowledge exchange and joint initiatives focused on women’s leadership, youth empowerment and gender equality, according to Radio Pakistan. 

The partnership will provide young women opportunities for mentorship, networking, leadership development and professional exposure.

The initiatives will particularly focus on entrepreneurship, employability and civic participation.

The partnership forms part of broader efforts to improve young women’s participation in economic and social activities.
