HUBCO’s joint venture company successfully achieves Commercial Operations Date

August 19, 2019 (MLN): Hub Power Company Limited’s joint venture with China Power International Holding Limited (CPIH), i.e. China Power Hub Generation Company Limited (CPGHC), a 1320-megawatt imported coal-fired power plant has successfully achieved the Commercial Operations Date (COD).

CPHGC has officially started supplying uninterrupted power to the national grid. The Project’s two units achieved synchronization with the National Grid on December 28, 2018 and May 28, 2019 respectively while the Integrated Coal Jetty became operational in December 2018 with arrival of the first shipment of coal.

With this achievement, HUBCO’s Power generation capacity has increased to over 2920 MW through its four plants spread over Baluchistan, Punjab and Azad Kashmir.
