Honda leads 1Q Sales up by 56.42%: PAMA

Sales for Suzuki, Honda, and Toyota declined month on month during September. The release by Pakistan Automobile Manufacturer’s Association reveals that sales of Honda -0.27%, Suzuki -0.12%, Toyota -0.11%, Master -0.05, Hino -0.10% and Isuzu -0.07% were compared to August sales.

However, capitalizing on the rising agricultural demand, Sales for Fiat +0.19%, Massey Ferguson +0.14%, and Orient IMT +0.27% witnessed a steady increase in sales during the month of September.

Cumulative sales during the first quarter of fiscal year 2017 were led by Honda with a 56.42% increase in total units sold. Honda is slowly gaining a stronger market share in the local market with the increased sales of new Honda Civic model, the company has increased its presence in the local auto sales. However, the Honda sales due to its limited range of models continues to lag behind Suzuki and Toyota wo hold 41% and 20% market share respectively.

Suzuki sales during the first quarter increased by 30.06% during the period, followed by Toyota which witnessed a modest growth of 4.88%.
