Govt preparing new energy Exploration, Production policy

May 17, 2019: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Petroleum Nadeem Babar says the government is preparing new energy Exploration and Production policy.

Talking to Danish ambassador Rolf Michael in Islamabad today, he said new policy containing seven major amendments will be tabled in Cabinet till August this year for approval.

Nadeem Babar said mega refineries will be installed with the cooperation of Saudi Arabia and the UAE will help not only to meet local demand and but also export it to regional markets.

He said many foreign companies have shown interest in laying Trans pipelines like Russian consortium, Chinese consortium and Pakistan's local Sui companies.

The Danish Ambassador said many Danish manufacturers are interested to invest in wind turbines.

He appreciated the steps being taken by the government to augment Pakistan's Oil and Gas sector.
