Govt likely to raise petroleum products price despite claims of providing relief to Poor in mini-budget

Contrary to the Finance Minister’s promise of providing relief to the underprivileged class, the petroleum ministry has proposed an increase in the prices of petroleum products ranging from Rs 4 to Rs 8.5 per litre beginning October 1st, 2018.

According to sources the price of High speed diesel is likely to increase by Rs 8.50 per liter while the price of Petrol is likely see an increase of Rs 6.30 per liter. Light diesel is expected to see an increase of Rs 4 per liter and Kerosene oil is likely to see an increase of Rs 8.50 per liter.
