Gold starts 2024 with a decline of Rs300 per tola

January 01, 2024 (MLN): The price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs300 on the first trading session of 2024, as it was quoted at Rs219,700 per tola.
The Karachi Sarafa Association reported that the price of 10-gram 24-karat gold was at Rs188,357, reflecting a loss of Rs258.
While the price of 10-gram 22-karat gold stood at Rs172,661.
On the other hand, the price of silver remained unchanged, with 24-karat silver and 10-gram 24-karat silver being sold at Rs2,680 and Rs 2,297.66.
To note, international markets are closed today onaccount of new year's day holiday.
