Gold shoots up to Rs 100,700 per tola

June 19, 2020 (MLN): In line with the previous trading session, the demand for safe-haven jumped today as well. The price of 24 Karat-Gold soared by Rs 1400 to Rs 100,700 per tola in the local market. The valuable yellow metal had closed at Rs 99,300 per tola on the previous trading day.

According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 10-gram gold also gained Rs 1200 to settle at Rs 86,334 against Rs 85,134 on the last trading day.

On the other hand, the silver prices remained flat at Rs 1,050 per tola. Similarly, 10-gram silver stayed stagnant at Rs 900.20.

In the international market, gold prices inched up by $9 to $1,736 per ounce while silver was pegged at $17.70 per ounce.
