Gold reaches all-time high of Rs134,300 per tola

April 07, 2022 (MLN): Following the hike in commodity prices in the international market, the demand for yellow metal jumped in the domestic bullion market as well as the price of 24-karat gold recorded an all-time high of Rs134,300 per tola, up by Rs15,00 on Thursday, the data revealed by Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association showed today.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram of 24k gold also soared by Rs1,286 and was traded at Rs115,141 while the 10gm 22k gold was valued at Rs105,545.
On the contrary, the price of 24-karat and 10-gram silver remained stagnant at Rs1,520 and Rs1,303, respectively.
On the same day, precious gold in the international market traded at $1,927 an ounce on the back of inflation worries as the market is expecting an aggressive hike in the policy rate by Federal Reserve. Meanwhile, silver was traded at $24.43 an ounce.
