Gold prices slip, silver edges higher

November 16, 2020 (MLN): Gold prices dipped today in domestic bullion market while silver prices edged higher. The price of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs.100 to Rs 112,550  per tola.

Likewise, the price of 10 grams gold also decreased by Rs 87 to Rs 96,493, the Karachi Sarafa Association reported.

On the other hand, the price of 24 karat silver tola and 10-gram silver increased by Rs 20 and Rs 17.15 to sold at Rs 1,220 and Rs 1,045.95 respectively.

In international markets, gold prices inched higher amid weaker dollar. Moreover, reviving hopes for a fiscal stimulus package also supported the yellow metal as coronavirus cases continued to rise in many parts of the world. In global markets, the price of gold went up by $2 to $1,892 per ounce while silver was pegged at $24.87 an ounce.
