Gold price in Pakistan rises Rs900 per tola

May 16, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan increased on Friday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs336,100 per tola, up Rs900.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs288,151 after a gain of Rs772, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs264,148 per 10-gram.

On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,377 per tola and Rs2,895 per 10-gram.

Globally, spot gold traded near $3,165 an ounce, down $71.3 or 2.20% from the previous session.

Gold prices dropped more than 2% on Friday and were heading for their worst week in six months, as an overall higher dollar and a temporary U.S.-China trade agreement dented demand for the safe-haven metal among investors.
