Gold price in Pakistan rises Rs4,000 per tola

May 19, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan increased on Monday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs342,500 per tola, up Rs4,000.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs293,638 after a gain of Rs3,429, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs270,348 per 10-gram.

On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,410 per tola and Rs2,923 per 10-gram.

Globally, spot gold traded near $3,244 an ounce, up $9.4 or 0.29% from the previous session.

Gold prices rose on Monday, helped by a weaker dollar and safe-haven demand after Moody's downgraded the U.S. government's credit rating amid lingering trade concerns.
