Gold price in Pakistan rises Rs2,300 per tola

January 29, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan increased on Wednesday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs288,700 per tola, up Rs2,300.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs247,513 after a gain of Rs1,972, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs226,895 per 10-gram.

Similarly, silver prices rose in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,391 per tola (+Rs28) and Rs2,907 per 10-gram (+Rs24).

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,762 an ounce, down $0.8 or 0.03% from the previous session.

Gold prices were steady on Wednesday as market participants were cautious ahead of the U.S. Federal Reserve's interest rate decision due later in the day, while also pondering the implications of President Donald Trump's trade policies.
