Gold price in Pakistan reaches new peak

September 13, 2024 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan increased on Friday, with 24-karat gold reaching a new all-time high of Rs265,900 per tola, up Rs2,900.

The Karachi Sarafa Association reported the price of 24-karat gold at Rs227,966 per 10-gram, up Rs2,486.

Similarly, the price of 22-karat gold was quoted higher at Rs208,970 per 10-gram.

Similarly, silver prices rose in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs2,950 per tola (+Rs50) and Rs2,529 per 10-gram (+Rs43).

On the global front, spot gold traded near $2,570 an ounce, up $11.7 or 0.46% from the previous session.

International gold continues its upward climb on expectations of an interest rate cut by the Federal Reserve next week after U.S. data signaled a slowing of the economy.
