Gold price in Pakistan falls Rs5,000 per tola

December 13, 2024 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan decreased on Friday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs277,800 per tola, down Rs5,000.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs238,169 after a decline of Rs4,286, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted lower at Rs218,321 per 10-gram.

Similarly, silver prices fell in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,400 per tola (-Rs50) and Rs2,915 per 10-gram (-Rs43).

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,665 an ounce, down $15.4 or 0.57% from the previous session.

 Gold prices edged lower on Friday but were still on track to finish the week higher as attention turned to the U.S. Federal Reserve's December policy meeting at which it is widely expected to deliver its third interest rate cut this year.
