Gold price in Pakistan falls Rs2,000 per tola

December 20, 2024 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan decreased on Friday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs271,300 per tola, down Rs2,000.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs232,596 after a decline of Rs1,715, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted lower at Rs213,213 per 10-gram.

On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,350 per tola and Rs2,872 per 10-gram.

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,603 an ounce, up $10 or 0.38% from the previous session.

Gold prices gained on Friday as the dollar pulled back from highs ahead of U.S. Personal Consumption Expenditure data due later in the day, although the Federal Reserve's hawkish interest rate outlook set bullion on track for a weekly loss.
