Gold price in Pakistan rises Rs200 per tola

January 13, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan decreased on Monday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs279,300 per tola, down Rs1,500.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs239,455 after a decline of Rs1,286, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted lower at Rs219,500 per 10-gram.

On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,350 per tola and Rs2,872 per 10-gram.

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,678 an ounce, down $12.4 or 0.46% from the previous session.

Gold prices eased on Monday as strong U.S. jobs data reinforced the Federal Reserve's cautious stance on interest rate cuts and boosted the dollar, though underlying safe-haven demand amid uncertainty around President-elect Donald Trump's policies curbed losses.
