Gold inches higher by Rs 100 per tola to Rs 113,300

January 12, 2020 (MLN): Gold prices rose on Tuesday as investors’ cautious approach amid increasing coronavirus cases across the world improved the demand for the safe-haven asset. In the international market, Gold prices reached US $1,860 an ounce, up by US $10, while silver was valued at US $25.48 an ounce.

In the domestic bullion market, the price of 24 karat gold inched higher by Rs 100 to Rs113,300 per tola against the price of Rs113,200 per tola reported yesterday.

According to the data provided by the All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association, the price of 10-gram gold also edged higher by Rs 85 to Rs 97,136 against the price of Rs97,051 reported in the previous day.

On the other hand, the price of 24 karat silver tola and 10-gram silver tola remained static at Rs 1,300 and Rs 1,114.54, respectively.
