Gold extends gains as US bond yields ease

March 19, 2021 (MLN): Gold extended gain today in the domestic bullion market as the price of 24 karat gold per tola and 10-gram jumped by Rs 600 and Rs 515 to settle at Rs 107,200 and Rs 91,907 respectively.

On the other hand, the price of silver remained static as 24-Karat silver per tola and 10-gram were available at Rs 1,370 and Rs 1,174.55 respectively, data provided by Karachi Sarafa Association revealed.

In the international market, the gold price witnessed a rise as US bond yields eased from the 14-month highs. The price of yellow metal inched up by USD 2 and traded at USD1,737 per ounce, while silver was valued at USD26.09 per ounce, the association reported.
