April 27, 2025 (MLN): To revamp the performance management system of the federal government, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb virtually chaired the first meeting of the Committee for Performance Management System set up by the Prime Minister.
The meeting focused on discussing the terms and references assigned to the Committee, with members offering their views on the current performance management system of the federal government.
The meeting was attended by key members of the Committee, including Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari, Minister for Climate Change Mr. Musadik Masood Malik, Minister for Petroleum Mr. Ali Parvez Malik, and SAPM on Industries and Production Mr. Haroon Akhtar Khan.
Also present were the Chairman FBR, Auditor General of Pakistan, and Federal Secretaries.
During the session, the Chair appreciated the valuable input provided by the members and decided to continue deliberations in the coming days, according to the press release.
The goal is to finalize the recommendations for submission to the Prime Minister within the given timeline.
