Exports increase by 9.6% YoY, surpasses $2 billion in Nov: Dr Dawood

December 2, 2019 (MLN): Advisor to Prime Minister on Commerce, Textile, Industry & Production and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood said that the exports of Pakistan have surpassed $2 billion in the month of November.

He congratulated to his commerce team and exporters on the social platform. He said in a series of tweets that exports increased by 9.6% YoY in November 2019 as compared to the same period last year.

Mentioning the facts and figures, he said trade deficit has shrunk by $988 million in November 2019 & by $5 billion during Jul-Nov 2019. That $5 billion is a big saving for the national exchequer and has a major impact on the reduction of CAD.  

Further, he said the increasing trend of exports shows an authentication of the policies of Prime Minister, which results in improvement of balance of payments position and stability of the economy.
