ECNEC approves 4 projects worth Rs 289 billion

July 16, 2020: The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Thursday approved 4 projects worth Rs 289 billion.
These included Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway, Hoshab-Awaran-Khuzdar section of M8, Swat Expressway Chakdara to Fatehpur section and addition of linkage of Khyber Agency to Khyber Pass Economic Corridor.
It is pertinent to mention that land acquisition for Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway has already been completed at a cost of Rs 24 billion.
The ECNEC also approved building motorway on a BOT basis at an estimated cost of 165 billion.
