ECC orders FATIMA, AGL plants to operate at OGRA RLNG rates

November 24, 2023 (MLN): The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Thursday mandated Fatima Fertilizer (PSX: FATIMA) and Agritech Limited (PSX: AGL) plants to function based on the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) notified rates for Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG), said a press release issued by the Finance Division.

However, the recovery of the differential amount will be incurred through OGRA's Revenue Requirements (RERR) specifically designated for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).

The summary was tabled by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) regarding the supply of Gas/RLNG to FATIMA and AGL to meet the requirements of Urea.

The Federal Minister for Finance, Revenue, and Economic Affairs, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar presided over the said meeting.
