ECC Meeting Today: 119 Hardship Drugs Prices may Skyrocket

March 27, 2023 (MLN): The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet, in its meeting which is scheduled to be held today, will likely increase the Maximum Retail Prices (MRPs) of 119 Drugs under Hardship Category as recommended by DPC in its 53rd meeting.

Meanwhile, the meeting will also discuss the approval for the fixation of MRPS of 54 New Drugs as Recommended by DPC in its 52nd meeting.

ECC to approve MRP of Remdesivir 100 MG Injection.

The arrangement of a finance facility for funding GOB's share of obligation in the Reko-Diq project dispute settlement will also be discussed.

The committee will also review matters pertaining to the wheat supply to Gilgit Baltistan.

The meeting will be chaired by the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Ishaq Dar.
