Earnings Preview: MLCF likely to suffer 48% average decline in cumulative profits

February 18, 2019 (MLN): Maple Leaf Cement (MLCF) is scheduled to announce its financial earnings for the half year ended December 2018 on February 19, 2019.
Based on the estimates projected by brokerage houses, the market expects MLCF to suffer a 35% average decline in PAT (Rs.648 million, EPS: Rs.1.28) and a 48.3% decline in the cumulative net income (Rs.1.03 billion, EPS: Rs.2.13) for the first half of fiscal year 2019 (FY19).
This fall in net earnings of the company is mainly attributed to decline in volumes, coupled with impact of rupee devaluation on margins
