Dollar trades at 168 in interbank

June 24, 2020 (MLN): Pressure continued on the PKR as year-end payments drove the Dollar upwards of 168 early in Wednesday’s trading session.

The Rupee lost a further 25 paisa compared to yesterday’s close of 167.65 and was being quoted between 167.90/168.25 with trades reported at 168.

However, according to data available with Mettis Global, the highest intraday values for the dollar were recorded on March 27, 2020 when it was traded at 169.50 and quoted as high as 170.50.

During the month of June 2020, PKR has depreciated by Rs 4.62 or 2.84 % against the dollar.
