The inflation figures came in hotter than our estimates of 28.73% YoY.

This jump is fueled by the long-overdue gas price hike, with the 'Housing, water, electricity, gas & fuels' group showing a significant jump of 10.96% MoM.

On a MoM basis, it increased by 3.3% in November 2023 as compared to an increase of 0.2% a month earlier and an increase of 6.1% in November 2022.

Furthermore, the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) inflation on a YoY basis climbed to 26.4% in November 2023 as compared to an increase of 24.6% a month earlier and an increase of 27.7% in November 2022.
