China hails President Alvi’s remarks for bilateral cooperation on CPEC

December 17, 2020: China has appreciated President, Dr. Arif Alvi, for his remarks about bilateral cooperation for progress on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor projects despite the Covid-19 challenge.

Chinese Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Wang Wenbin said during his regular media briefing yesterday that CPEC has been developing with a positive momentum since its inception in 2013, as a pioneer project of the Belt and Road Initiative.

During an interview with Chinese TV, the President had said Pakistan's ties with China have been strengthened as the two countries worked together to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic as well as deepen cooperation on CPEC.
