CCoSOEs labels NDRMF as essential SOE

October 11, 2024 (MLN): The Cabinet Committee on State-Owned Enterprises (CCoSOEs) on Friday declared the National Disaster Risk Management Fund (NDRMF) an essential State-Owned Enterprise (SOE).

National Disaster Risk Management Fund is a non-profit publicly owned organization which is working to enhance resilience to natural disasters,

The Committee considered a proposal by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives for the categorization of the National Disaster Risk Management Fund as SOE under Paragraph 9 of the SOEs (Ownership and Management) Policy, 2023.

The Committee also considered and approved two separate proposals submitted by the Industries and Production Division for appointment to the Board of Directors of the Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) and the Board of Directors of the Pakistan Steel Fabricating Company Limited.

Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb chaired the same meeting.
