Business community proposes solutions for energy pricing issues

May 16, 2024 (MLN): Chairman Nishat Chunian Group, Shahzad Saleem presented a comprehensive overview of the challenges confronted by the industrial sector pertaining to energy and proposed measures, with a focus on energy pricing.

According to a press release issued on Wednesday, to address these challenges confronted by the industrial sector, the Federal Minister for Finance & Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb chaired a meeting at Finance Division.

The primary agenda was to discuss and devise solutions for addressing the power sector issues affecting the business community.

Finance Minister appreciated the issues raised by the industry and assured that the Government is committed to provide support to the business community and will undertake all necessary measures to ensure a stable supply of power.

Aurangzeb nominated Ali Pervaiz Malik MNA as the focal person for coordinating with ministries for early resolution of the issues.
