BFBIO begins commercial production at Line II

February 28, 2025 (MLN): BF Biosciences Limited (PSX: BFBIO) has successfully commissioned its Line II expansion project, with commercial production now underway.

Following the period-end, the company has introduced four new pharmaceutical products: Heprin (Heparin Sodium), Peg-Filgen (Pegylated Filgrastim), Ferium (Ferric Carboxymaltose), and Serenety (Ondansetron).

The company reported strong financial performance, with earnings per share (EPS) rising to Rs2.66 from Rs2.42.

Revenue surged 46.4% to Rs2.7 billion, driven by higher sales and market expansion.

Gross profit increased 67.5% to Rs1bn, despite a 33.4% rise in the cost of goods sold.

Administrative and selling expenses saw significant jumps due to expansion efforts.

Other income grew 66% to Rs52m, supporting earnings, while finance costs rose 18% to Rs92.6m.

Profit before tax climbed 29.4% to Rs322.4m, though higher tax expenses slowed net profit growth.
