April 24, 2025 (MLN): Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has invited Turkish investors to explore untapped opportunities in the country’s dairy, cheese, and livestock sectors, aiming to deepen economic ties between the two nations.

The minister extended the invitation during a meeting with Türkiye’s Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek on the sidelines of the IMF-World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington, D.C. He acknowledged that despite strong historical relations, bilateral trade and investment levels remain well below potential.

Aurangzeb highlighted Pakistan’s efforts to attract foreign capital and stressed the country's interest in leveraging Türkiye’s strengths in high-tech and value-added industries. He lauded Ankara’s policy focus on innovation and expressed optimism that closer collaboration could help unlock new growth avenues.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening economic cooperation, with discussions covering trade facilitation, investment frameworks, and sectoral partnerships.
