Auction Result: SBP sells T-bills worth Rs2.07tr

August 23, 2023 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) conducted an auction on Wednesday in which it sold Market Treasury Bills (MTBs) worth Rs2.07 trillion against a target of Rs2.25tr for 3 and 12 months.

Cut off yields for 3 and 12 months were 22.8803% and 22.94%. While the bids for 6 months were rejected.

Total amount offered was Rs3.25tr out of which the SBP accepted Rs2.07tr.

The SBP received bids worth Rs2.51tr for 3 months, Rs370 billion for 6 months, and Rs375bn for 12 months out of which it accepted Rs2tr for 3 months and Rs3.49bn for 12 months.

In addition, the SBP picked up Rs73.77bn from the non-competitive auction, making the total amount accepted Rs2.07tr.
