ARPL to invest Rs120mn to increase Liquid Indigo production

January 28, 2022 (MLN): To cater to the growing local and export markets' demand for Liquid Indigo, the board of Directors of Archroma Pakistan Limited (ARPL), in its meeting held yesterday has approved to make an additional investment in Jamshoro of Rs120 million to further increase the production capacity of Classic Liquid Indigo by 2,500 TPA.
The construction work is expected to start in the first quarter with the target to commence commercial operations in the third quarter of the calendar year 2022.
To note, ARPL recently declared its financial results for the first quarter ended December 31, 2021, as per which the company posted its profit after tax of Rs750.16 million (EPS: Rs22) i.e. nearly 57% higher than the net profits of Rs480 million (EPS: Rs14) of the corresponding period last year, mainly on the back of higher volumetric sales.
