Agriculture Department gives out loans worth Rs. 300 million to farmers

According to Agriculture Department, interest free loans worth Rupees 300.7 million have been distributed among 5,447 farmers in for a variety of crops across Punjab.

Of the total loans, Zarai Taraqiati Bank has issued loans worth Rs. 53.3 million to 579, National Bank of Pakistan with rupees 21 million to 354 farmers, Tameer Bank with Rupees 12.1 million to 306 farmers and Akhuwwat Bank with a total of 214.3 million to 4,208 farmers.

As per the spokesperson for Agriculture Department, the government has registered a total of 25,538 farmers for the issuance of Kissan Card to award subsidy on agricultural gadgets.
