September 19, 2025 (MLN): The Board of Directors of Siemens (Pakistan) Engineering Co. Ltd. (PSX: SIEM) has chosen to exit its Motor Repairs Business.

The decision, made at a board meeting in Karachi on September 18, 2025, is aligned with a strategic portfolio realignment by its parent company.

In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the company conveyed that the change does not constitute a "material impact" on its overall business operations.

The company also specified that the Motor Repairs Business does not fall under the legal definition of an "undertaking" or "sizeable part" of the company, per Section 183(3) of the Companies Act, 2017.

This action is part of a broader strategy by Siemens Pakistan to sharpen its focus on its core business areas. This move follows its earlier divestment of its energy business.

The company's operations are now centred on its core portfolios of Smart Infrastructure and Digital Industries.
