September 10, 2025 (MLN): Searle Company Limited has reached a major milestone as Denosumab, Pakistan’s first biosimilar of its kind, receives regulatory approval.

This development marked a transformative moment in the country’s pharmaceutical sector as it introduced a locally developed biotechnological therapy that expands access and affordability for patients nationwide.

Denosumab, a monoclonal antibody used to treat osteoporosis and cancer-related bone conditions, now enters the market in biosimilar form, offering a cost-effective alternative to imported treatments.
