Samson Group pledges to plant 100 million trees across Pakistan

October 17, 2025 (MLN): The Samson Group of Companies has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Pakistan’s environmental and sustainable development goals through a series of green initiatives, including an ambitious plan to plant 100 million trees across the country.

In a meeting with the Federal Ministry for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, the International Advisory Board of the Samson Group led by Amir Sarfraz of Kensington, Member of the UK House of Lords, and General Patrick Sander, former Chief of the British Army discussed opportunities to promote eco-tourism in Pakistan’s northern regions, said a press release issued.

The discussions focused on developing sustainable tourism models that balance economic growth with the protection of natural ecosystems. Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Senator Dr. Musadik Malik, commended the Samson Group’s CSR-driven plantation initiative, calling it a major contribution to Pakistan’s reforestation and climate resilience efforts.

He reaffirmed the government’s support for private sector partnerships that align with the country’s broader environmental and sustainability objectives, noting that such collaborations are vital for advancing Pakistan’s green transition.
