SBP reserves rise $167m in a week

June 12, 2025 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $166.8 million or 1.45% WoW to $11.68 billion during the week ended on June 06, 2025, data released by the State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

Similarly, the country's total reserves increased by $277.3m or 1.67% WoW to $16.88bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks rose by $110.5m or 2.17% WoW to $5.2bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $2.29bn or 24.35%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen a decrease of $34.9m or -0.3%.
