SBP reserves rise $13m to over $14bn

August 21, 2025 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $13 million or 0.09% WoW to $14.26 billion during the week ended on August 15, 2025, data released by the State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

Similarly, the country's total reserves increased by $74.1m or 0.38% WoW to $19.57bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks rose by $61.1m or 1.16% WoW to $5.31bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $5.19bn or 57.28%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen an increase of $2.55bn or 21.74%.
