Qatar temporarily closes airspace over security concerns

June 23, 2025 (MLN): As part of precautionary measures in light of recent regional developments, the State of Qatar has declared a temporary suspension of air navigation in the country’s airspace.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the decision reflects Qatar’s commitment to ensuring the safety of its citizens, residents, and visitors.

The Ministry stated that official entities are closely and continuously monitoring the situation and evaluating developments in coordination with regional and international partners. Updates will be provided to the public through official channels.

Reiterating the State's stance, the Ministry emphasized that the security and safety of everyone on Qatari soil remains a top priority, and that Qatar will not hesitate to take all necessary preventive and protective measures.
