Pakistan, Türkiye condemn Israel’s aggression against Iran

June 16, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan and Türkiye have expressed deep concern over the worsening regional situation, strongly condemning Israel’s "unjustified aggression" against Iran.

This shared stance was conveyed during a high-level diplomatic exchange held earlier today.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar received a phone call from Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, during which both leaders discussed the rapidly escalating tensions in the region.

They voiced serious alarm over the ongoing developments and emphasized their mutual concern, as per the press release issued.

Senator Dar also confirmed his participation in two key events scheduled in Istanbul next week, the upcoming meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers and a special ceremony organized by the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum to honour Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The phone call and the planned meetings outline the joint diplomatic efforts of Pakistan and Türkiye to address regional instability, especially in light of the recent Israeli strikes on Iranian targets.

Both nations have consistently called for de-escalation and peaceful conflict resolution in the Middle East.
